Want to learn how to make simple and beautiful stamped cards?
Great! I’m here to help you create cards like the “pins” you’ve been saving. My card making blog is for anyone that desires a creative outlet but doesn’t have as much time as they would like to pursue personal interests. My paper crafting “recipes” will let you spend the time you carve out of your busy schedule to cut, paste, colour and create so that you can relax and recharge.
Do you find time to be creative only to waste hours searching the web for the perfect idea? Do you find great card ideas but have no idea where to start to recreate them?
I know how you feel. Cards and Friends was launched to simplify stamping and card making so you can spend more time having fun, relaxing and creating with less frustration. I post card designs in a recipe format so that you can print or save the card tutorials easily. Like any good cook, you can follow the recipe designs and sketches exactly or change it up a bit to suit your own preferences.
All the ingredients are listed as well! They are divided into the essentials and the those supplies more specific to the card being made. See my review of essential cardmaking supplies HERE.
Why recipes for a papercrafting and stamping website?
Like any good cookbook – my recipes include ingredients (supplies) and step-by-step instructions and of course, photographs! I’ve included tips and tricks and a section for the basics – how to cut, score, layer, emboss, watercolour and more. Want to know the best part? The site features a well organized recipe list so you can find what you are looking for easily.
Although I do enjoy baking – brownies are my favourite – I wanted to take my 25 years of papercrafting experience and 15 years of actively teaching stamping and being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and share my expertise with more people. I also teach chemistry - which is similar to cooking as long as you don't lick the spoon!
My hope is my designs will help you find stamping a fun, relaxing and enjoyable pursuit.
Happy Stamping,
Amy
