I love Christmas wreaths and I love Christmas cards that open with a fancy fold. This card combines the two to create an easy but fantastic Z fold Christmas card. Stampin' Up! Wishes All Around die set has three wonderful wreaths for you to use on your card. I've chosen the more traditional wreath for the my card today.
The Z-fold card is easier to make then it looks and I give complete instructions below. I created a similar card with more traditional colours and a different wreath die HERE. Both cards feature the same measurements for the double z-fold fancy fold Christmas card.
The non-traditional colours pair well with the wreath. I chose the colours from the Winter Meadow designer series paper. Garden Green and Blueberry Bushel are bright but work well together due to the patterned paper coordination.
To create the dimension on the wreath, I used a simple watercolour technique. You can make it yourself by brushing on some Garden Green ink mixed with some water lightly onto watercolour paper. Make sure to leave variation in colour and let it dry completely. If you don't want to wait to let it dry, use your Heat tool to quickly dry the watercolour paper. I cut out 2 wreaths,1 from the coloured watercolour paper and 1 from Garden Green cardstock. I then layered the 2 wreaths together to give dimension to the card.

Stamping & Assembly
- Squeeze the Garden Green inkpad to make a puddle of ink (or use a reinker). Use a Watercolour Painter and water to colour the watercolour paper. Do not make a solid green but rather leave variations of green in a watercolour look. Let dry or use the Heat tool to dry quickly.
- With the Wishes All Around wreath die, cut a wreath out of both Garden Green and the dried watercolour paper by running through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine.
- Adhere the largest piece of Basic White cardstock to the right side of the Garden Green card front – the side with no scoring. (when laying horizontal)
- Adhere the widest piece of greenery patterned paper to the far right of the basic white, leaving a small border as shown.
- Layer the narrower, greenery patterned paper onto the Basic White rectangle. Similarly, there should an even border around the perimeter.
- Adhere this Basic White and patterned paper layer onto the far right of the Garden Green card front. The score line/fold should be next to this and it should have an even border.
- Layer the blue patterned paper rectangle onto the Blueberry Bushel rectangle
- Using adhesive on only the left, horizontal side of the Blueberry Bushel piece, adhere to the very front of the card when it is folded as shown below.
- Layer both wreaths on top of each other and adhere to the left side of the front as shown.
- Stamp “Christmas Greetings” with Blueberry Bushel ink onto the Basic White strip. Notch the end as shown.
- Use Stampin’ dimensionals to adhere the Merry Christmas banner to the right, bottom of the blue front.
- Mix some Blueberry Bushel ink into the white pearlized enamel effects on a scrap piece of paper. Use a small brush to dab a bit onto each of the holly ends of the wreath as shown. Be careful to let dry fully before touching.
