I resisted purchasing the Regal Reindeer stamp set and bundle from Stampin' Up! for as long as I could. I had the opportunity to buy it at half price and couldn't resist any longer! I am so glad I bought it! The Regal Reindeer bundle can be used for intricate cards and is perfectly suited for step cards but I was trying to keep it simple with today's card. As you can see, I have trouble creating simple cards.

This Christmas greeting card is easier to create than it looks thanks to the amazing Reindeer dies included in the bundle from Stampin' Up! One trick to making better looking cards is to repeat the colours used in your card. I kept trying to use black twine or the black gingham ribbon to pick up the black in the silhouettes and I wasn't happy with it. The two classic black matte dots add just a touch more of black and pull the colours together.
Make it yourself:
Creating the winter scene with the reindeer and fox was quite enjoyable! Colouring the trees with the Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends was easy to do and I really didn't do much shading. I would love to see your examples of this card with different colours. Try Old Olive trees with Early Espresso silhouettes or try a different green and post your card in the comments. What is your favourite green?
