No one likes to need a sympathy card, but this card is quick to create when you need to lend support to a friend in need. The patterned paper in the Nests of Winter designer series paper pack from Stampin' Up! is the focus point of this sympathy card. Adding some Copper Clay cardstock to the background draws attention to the cute birds along with the pussy willows.
I used Basic White cardstock for the card base but I also tried using Gray Granite. The Gray Granite cardstock matches nicely but creates a more somber card. The Basic White is brighter and perks it up a little.
The "here for you" sentiment is small and is from the Changing Leaves stamp set by Stampin' Up! I like how it does not detract from the Nests of Winter designer series paper that forms the focal point of this sympathy card.
Stampin' Up! has amazing dies that make cardmaking easier. Create a different sympathy card with the delicate forest dies as shown HERE.
Make it yourself!
This sympathy card is made quickly and easily thanks to the gorgeous Nests of Winter DSP from Stampin' Up! I used both types of embossing on it to give some beautiful details. I dry embossed the background using the new Birch Bark 3D embossing folder. You could stamp the sentiment using Copper Clay ink on a white background but I prefer the look of the white heat embossing on the Copper Clay cardstock background better.
